Royal Botanical Kew Gardens | 3 Metre Redwood Bench
I'm proud to have collaborated with the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew, world renowned botanical garden, a UNESCO World Heritage and home to one of the worlds most significant collections of trees.
We crafted a 3 metre bench from a 136-year-old redwood timber salvaged from Wolverhampton, felled due to falling limbs and safety concerns. The piece now sits in Kew Gardens Redwood Grove, where you can take in the sites of some of the UKs largest and oldest standing Redwoods.
We also donated a cross-section of this incredible timber to Kew's Carbon Garden, which opened in summer 2026. Displayed as an educational feature to help illustrate the effects of climate change throughout the tree's lifetime.
National Trust, Shugborough Estate | 6 metre Oak bench and Redwood Recliner
For Shugborough's new Arcadia Walled Garden opening in Autumn 2026 we designed and handcrafted a 6-metre solid oak bench that takes pride of place within the garden offering beautiful views across the estate.
Accessibility was a key part of the design, with extended ends allowing wheelchair users to sit comfortably and enjoy the views.
The estate also requested a piece that would immerse visitors in the landscape. Our response was a unique recliner crafted from giant redwood rings. This is positioned amongst the trees allowing you to settle in and completely disappear from view.
